Mandarin Chocolate Candy1 cup sweetened condensed milk 4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 1/2 cups flaked sweetened coconut 1/2 cup chopped pecans 1 1/2 teaspoons orange extract Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets. In a heavy saucepan, combine the milk, chocolate and salt and cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until the chocolate melts and the mixture thickens. Remove pan from the heat and quickly stir in the coconut, pecans and orange extract. Form the mixture into small balls (about a teaspoonful of the mixture) and place on the prepared baking sheets. Bake until the candies are firm, 6 to 7 minutes. Immediately transfer the candies to wax paper to cool. Store in an airtight container. Makes about 4 dozen.
