Rum Slices4 egg whites 1 pound confectioners' sugar 1/2 pound pecans, ground 1/2 pound walnuts, ground 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or rum Rum Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar and nuts. Flavor with vanilla extract or rum. Form into 3/4-inch diameter rolls. Chill for 45 minutes. Cut into 1/2-inch slices. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees F for about 15 minutes. While still warm, ice with confectioners' sugar moistened with enough rum to spread.
