Sugar Honeys1/2 cup butter 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 egg yolk 1 cup flour Salt, to taste 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2/3 cup walnuts, chopped 1 egg white Candied cherries (to garnish) Butter frosting Mix first 6 ingredients and roll into small balls, then dip in slightly beaten egg white and roll in nuts. Make a dent in center of each ball. Bake 5 minutes at 300 degrees F on greased cookie sheet, then make a deeper dent and bake 15 minutes longer. When cooled, fill dents with butter frosting and top with a piece of candied cherry. This cookie keeps quite well and can be frozen (unfilled), then filled just before serving.
