Brandied Strawberry Sauce2 (10 ounce) packages frozen, sliced strawberries 1/4 cup granulated sugar 2 tablespoons cornstarch 2 tablespoons lemon juice 2 tablespoons brandy or cognac In saucepan blend strawberries, sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and clear. Cool slightly; stir in brandy. Chill before serving. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
