Recipe for Orange Layered Salad from the Jello section.
Orange Layered SaladBottom Layer 1 small box orange gelatin 1/2 cup orange juice 1 1/2 cups boiling water 1 small can crushed pineapple Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Drain pineapple and reserve juice for top layer. Add drained pineapple and orange juice. Pour into a mold (which should be half full) and chill until firm. Top Layer 1 small box lemon gelatin Juice drained from pineapple 1/2 pint cream, whipped Pinch of salt 1 1/2 cups boiling water 3 ounces cream cheese Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add pineapple juice. When it begins to thicken, add cream cheese (add a little milk or cream to soften), whipped cream and pinch of salt. Pour on top of orange layer and chill until firm. Serve on a lettuce leaf.
