Hixenbough to the October 1964 issue of The Workbasket 1 egg 1 cup dark or light molasses 1 cup sour milk 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ginger 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 2 heaping teaspoons shortening 2 cups all-purpose flour Combine all ingredients. Pour into 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake in 375 degree F oven approximately 45 minutes. Cake is very moist and even better 2 days old.
