Sausage Chowder1 can kidney beans 1 grated green bell pepper 1 onion 1 large can stewed tomatoes 4 diced medium potatoes 1 pound sausage (hot, medium or mild) Enough water to make soupy 1 teaspoon garlic salt 1/2 teaspoon thyme Salt and pepper, to taste 2 or 3 bay leaves Brown sausage; drain. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer for 45 minutes or until potatoes are done.
