Corn Fritter Cakes1 cup all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 2 eggs 1 cup cream-style corn 1 tablespoon melted shortening Sift flour; measure; sift again with baking powder, salt and pepper. Beat eggs well; add corn; mix; stir in flour and shortening. Drop by tablespoonsful into hot shortening 1/4 inch deep in frying pan. Makes 20 medium-size fritters.
