Scalloped Tomatoes4 fresh tomatoes, cut up 2 cups bread crumbs 3 tablespoons butter 1/4 cup onion, minced 1 teaspoon granulated sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper Few grains cayenne pepper Drain tomatoes. Put with crumbs into a buttered baking dish. Dot with butter. Sprinkle with onion, sugar and seasonings. Bake for 30 minutes, until golden brown on top.
